From this angle of the sunken patio design you can see more detail and the flower bed planter and steps that we created in the corner. As you can also see, this garden patio idea gets a real primitive rough look from all the stone used and the way it's put together.

If budget would have allowed, a more of a cultured building stone for the rock garden walls would have created a much more refined look. Generally, dry stack rock walls built from rough quarry stone will finish out like this unless a finish cap is placed on the top of the wall.
