For many people, the characteristic childhood memory food is chicken soup. This soup is a adaptable meal and is often prepared for people who are in poor health, but it is just as helpful for dieters.

Here is a truly appetizing chicken soup recipe with a surprise ingredient for you to make in your own kitchen.

Before we commence, a few comments on buying your chicken.

If you can buy an organic free range chicken, even better, as it will be a purer meat, with less chance of it containing added hormones. It Is also a great idea from an humanitarian point of view, as a lot of the mass produced chickens are bred in conditions that are absolutely shameful.

OK, lets get on to the recipe then.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

2 fresh oranges (juice only)
1 black pepper (freshly ground)
2 onions (chopped and peeled)
3 tablespoons of olive oil
750 ml of chicken stock
10 cloves of garlic (halved)

Most family members think that the family kitchen should be the heart of the family home, and it is an obvious, but true, statement that preparing meals at home is good for family life. The stresses of our hectic lifestyles means that less family members are spending the time to prepare good home cooked meals, instead choosing to dine in a restaurant, usually, out of necessity, alone and this is not a good thing for family harmony.

The odd thing is, if anyone stopped and looked at the situation, they would discover that cooking at home is definitely the superior alternative. It is frequently far more cost effective, usually a good deal quicker, and, as it involves fewer driving miles, is a great deal kinder to the planet.
