Multiple Blinds on a Headrail - When One Blind Isn't Enough for Wood Blinds and Faux Wood Blinds

Most windows have one headrail and one blind. Use one single valence to cover the length of the headrail (and all the blinds), giving the illusion of a single blind.... and for good reason: the width of the window or glass door makes having only one blind impractical. Oversized blinds are more likely to warp or place too great a strain on the blind's lift mechanism, especially with real wood and faux wood blinds which are heavy. For wood cabinets, the best material in low humidity climates is MDF material that is constructed of small wood fibers glued together to give a dense heavy board.

The ordered width should ensure a precise fit for the headrail and allow proper operation of the shade. Sliding Glass Doors: Sliding glass doors present a major security problem if they do not have the proper locks and if special steps are not taken to prevent removal of the door. Although vertical blinds fit quite well on sliding glass doors, the sheer size of the blinds detracts from their appeal. If all the blinds in your room are horizontals, using verticals on your sliding glass or patio doors will look odd. What you are looking for is a stiff batter like consistency. Most sliding glass doors feature this so it is not difficult to find. There are mini blinds, Venetian blind, Shoji window blinds, Holland blinds, Honeycomb blinds, pleated blinds, roller blinds, bamboo blinds, and many more. Test the cabinets and make sure the door open straight, the drawers open smoothly, and there are no noises or catches when you open them.
