Formal Garden Fountain Focal Point
The far end of a formal garden becomes a frame for a focal point. That's almost a tongue twister to say that. While most any piece of garden decor that is within theme and proportionate enough to see will work, at a distance it may be best to use something of a lighter color. In landscape design principles and art, white is a natural focal point that draws the eye to itself. As you can see, even this slight light color of the water of this fountain is the most visible element against the green back drop. In formal gardens and at long distances especially, consider using white elements as your focal points.
