Don't forget your vertical spaces as an opportunity to add more decoration to your gardens, patios, and courtyard gardens. And while you're searching for trinkets and objects to hang on the walls as garden decor, don't overlook climbing plants and vines as an option. They work perfect to frame entryways and windows as well as stand alone.
If you're designing a new garden, courtyard, or patio idea that has walls, you may want to design in some planters near the base of entryways and under windows so that you can grow some vines and climbers directly from the garden floor. Otherwise, in an existing garden, you can place some pots and planters near these areas and plant in them.
