Learning how to build a retaining wall isn't quite as hard as most people think. Many of the pictures in this directory are of walls that practically anyone could build with very little instruction.

The most popular and common type of do it yourself retaining walls are, of course, the pre-fab blocks that can be purchased at your local home improvement center. Installation of these types of walls is simply a matter of laying out a level footing, stacking, and then backing the walls.

Most of the pictures in this directory are of that type and the ideas could easily be copied to fit your landscaping project. However, I've also added some rock and concrete garden wall pictures to this directory for you to get some ideas from.
