This circular driveway landscape idea is a little different from how we usually design. While we've designed several using different colors of rock, we've never made it the backbone of the entire design. We're still learning too. (More on this design below)

As you'll see in the following pics, texture is a very important aspect of this small designed garden. Since the concept behind this design was to create interest on its own without plants, it wasn't enough to separate areas with just color. Or we might as well have just painted the same rock different colors.

As you'll also see in the following pics, this design hasn't been planted in yet. This will give you an idea of what this small area garden will actually look like in the dead of Winter.

The planting scheme is simplified, balanced, and unified. I picked a few species of plants and repeated them through out the landscape. This is important here where planting areas are distant from each other. It ties the different areas together to create a whole unit. To discover more about planting, See plant selection.
