Landscape Design School

Landscape Design Schools - Since there are no real reviews or ranking systems for landscaping classes and programs, choosing the right online courses can be a difficult decision. And really, there aren't that many good choices to begin with.

Before you get to my short list of picks below, here's a piece of advice that may help you make an informed decision.

Once you've filled out the form and have been contacted by the Landscape Design School, you need to take the lead. You need to ask the questions. After all, it's your future and career that we're talking about.

Questions you should ask schools of landscape design and architecture.

  • See if it would be possible for you to contact recent graduates of their courses and get honest input from them.

  • Ask if they have internships or a placement program after graduation and how many students have actually been placed after graduation.

  • Ask what the specific classes are in their landscaping programs to see if they match your particular areas of interest.

  • How would attending their program help you achieve your specific goals?

  • Ask if their programs include courses about actually running your business. You're going to need this.
  • As I find and review them, I'll create a list of the better distance learning landscape design schools that are worth requesting information from. I'll also make sure that filling out the forms and requesting information won't cost you anything.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor predicts a 22% increase in new job opportunities for Professional Landscapers by 2012.
