Landscaping On a Slope
Retaining Wall

How to effectively use other peoples ideas to design your landscape

This is the steepest slope we had to adjust in this landscape. As you can see, it's really not too bad. With each retaining wall block being 4 inches thick, the wall is only 20 inches high at its tallest point.

The plants in this view are Diascia(red), Gold Lantana, Verbena(purple), Chitalpa(tree), and Red Tip Yucca. All of which are low water use and heat tollerant and add part to the xeriscaping principles of this design.

Also see landscaping on a slope for a collection of several more examples and ideas of sloped and hillside landscapes.
