Landscape Design Continuity

Most of the elements in this landscape design are repeated throughout the entire design to create continuity and balance. The plants, retaining wall blocks, ground cover rocks, and even the lighting are all unified.

As you can see in the plan for this design, this retaining wall matches the design on both sides of the sidewalk to each other. More than anything else, it's a matter of design balance, continuity, and a simple clean landscape design.

As I pointed out in the previous picture of this area, there's not really a need for this retaining wall as far as terracing or addressing a slope.

While we did use it to create a slightly raised bed area for some added character, the main purpose of the retaining wall is to balance out the design and create unity with this entry area and the rest of the landscape design.

As part of the circular driveway design, the curves of the upper wall design flow with the curved nature of the driveway.
