Italian Courtyard Garden Cultured Stone Pillars
The stone support pillars are created from fabricated cultured stone. While some homes are still built with actual stone, this type of material is a lot less expensive, much easier to work with, and is much lighter.
The redish brown patio is stained stamped decorative concrete. In the wall at its end, you can see the outdoor fireplace. And at the very far distance, a wall fountain.
The planting beds are intentionally placed in this patio design at the foot of the pillars to support climbing vines that will trail along the edges of the canopy. This will help create the Italian Tuscan atmosphere.

Of course, water is provided to these flower beds by a bubbler system that was intalled before the patio pavers were laid.
