Creating An Established Look
With Mature Plants

While planting mature plants like these can add quite a bit to the expense of your landscaping project, nothing else will give it an established look better than this. This large tree is a slow growing Red Oak. And because of this trees growth rate, is why we chose it this large. It would simply take to long for a sapling to reach this size.

The cost of this tree to me was over a thousand dollars and since there is another behind this one, you can double that. The courtyard Red Oak was more than $2,000.00 all by itself. However, that's just because of the nature and type of the tree. Faster growing trees can be planted in a smaller size and price and still reach maturity at a reasonable rate.

Keep in mind, that often, fast growing trees are weaker, more brittle, and have a shorter lifespan than hardwood trees. However, it's not always the case. You'll just have to do a little research based on your area and planting zone.

If it's necessary to do your landscaping in phases to allow for plants like this into your budget, give it some thought. Again, there are few elements that will give your landscaping an established mature look better than already mature plants.
