The Arkansas Native Plant Society - The Arkansas Native Plant Society's official purpose is to promote the preservation, conservation, and study of the wild plants and vegetation of Arkansas, the education of the public to the value of the native flora and its habitat, and the publication of related information. To this end, the society offers a variety of programs and field trips to help individuals develop landscaping ideas and plans of their own.
USDA Plants Database - Created by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, this database of Akansas native plants offers a variety of information about a large number of plants to help with any xeriscaping project you might be interested in developing.
AHTD Wildflower Program - Developed to encourage the growth and maintenance of the natural landscaping of Arkansas, this program involves creating new wildflower populations around the state while also protecting current areas where wildflowers grow in abundance. On this page, you will find links that include more information about this program, including pictures of wildflowers that are being used in this program and AHTD wildflower routes, where you can go to see these wildflowers in their native environment.
Arkansas Native Plants: Identification of Arkansas Flora - This site, produced by the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, includes a number of landscaping pictures showcasing many native plants that grow throughout the state of Arkansas. Additional images will be posted as they become available.
