The Native Plant Society of New Mexico - The purpose of the Native Plant Society of New Mexico (NPSNM) is to educate New Mexicans on native plant identification, ecology, and uses; encourage preservation of natural habitats; support botanical research; and promote use of native plants for conservation of water, land, and wildlife. To this end, this site offers links to a variety of information from the society, including membership information, state meetings, and landscaping pictures. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center - This site offers a searchable database of New Mexico native plants. Within individual plant pages, you will find such information as plant characteristics, bloom information, and growing conditions. The Xeriscape Council of New Mexico - On this site, you can find a variety of information about xeriscaping in New Mexico. Here, you will find topics such as the principles of xeriscaping, xeriscaping references & reading, as well as xeriscape gardens to visit.
