Patio Design Textures And Colors

While some may find this patio to be a great example of using textures, line, and colors for good effect, some folks may find this courtyard patio a bit much and a bit too busy. I will admit that the amount of different textures is borderline with rock, brick, concrete, cultured stone, stucco, wood, wicker, and iron. While not as visible in larger landscapes, small garden plans start to look a bit cluttered and busy with too many varied elements.

As with most small gardens and courtyards, patio design ideas that are focused and color matched well have a very neat, orderly, and intentional atmosphere. While most outdoor landscaping ideas stick closely to earthtones, patios and courtyards offer more opportunity to venture into using colors other than plants and earthtones to design with.
