Formal Garden Patio

This patio design surrounded by a formal garden has a few intersting design points worth mentioning. I think it's also worth mentioning though, that, because of all the hedges that need trimming, this is high maintenance patio garden.

The plant selection and ideas are very interesting. Besides the shapes of the hedges and plants, what else makes them interesting? In all of these garden plants in this entire garden, there are only two spots of color flowers in planters. That's interesting. How many different shades of green can you see? a lot. And with each different shade, there's also a different texture. Green is often overlooked as a color in landscaping and garden and is more often seen as a neutral or backdrop for other plants and flowers.
