Patio Under Trees
While having a patio with a lot of trees over it will provide some shade and protection from some elements, you still may want to consider an umbrella to protect the immediate table area from falling debris and bird droppings. Where there are trees there usually are birds. And for times when the patio isn't in use, you should take your umbrella down and cover the furniture with patio furniture covers to protect it from the sun and weather elements.
