Primitive Woodland Garden And Flagstone Floor Patio

This small patio garden fits well with its woodland surroundings and would be so easy to create. The flagstone pieces in the floor are just randomly laid out without any cuts so a design like this wouldn't even need a saw. Just level the area, lay out your flagstones, and then fill in the cracks with gravel, chat, or even fine bark mulch. The border edge around the patio is a simple matter of marking a circle, digging a small trench, placing pieces of flagstone upright, and filling in.

The garden path and steps are also very primitive and work well with the surrounding natural woodland area. A few simple additions to an existing landscape like this can become part of the area rather than toally eliminate the natural element. As with this woodland patio, most landscaping and garden design total costs and labor can often be cut back considerably if your design plans work with the environment and existing surroundings.
