The idea for this patio floor is real simple to create. It's a matter of leveling the area, laying out your chosen paver blocks, and filling with gravel. This type of flooring will also help displace quite a bit of water when it rains.

With this patio being enclosed, there is a possibility of of flooding from a heavy down pour. If you look closely in the top left of the picture, you'll see a gutter system which is a necessity for drainage in a courtyard patio like this.
