A Long Narrow Patio Design Idea

Besides being long and narrow, this patio gets a very secluded private feel from the soft boundary of plants that surround it. I refer to it as a soft boundary because it's not a hardscape of walls or fences. And to add even more to a natural soft feel is the natural arbor that covers the patio.

As with this garden, most of the atmosphere and personality of the entire design is created from the elements, plants, materials, and garden decor used to create it. Most of that is within the control of the designer. And then many times, in a long narrow patio design like this, a lot of the atmosphere is created from existing and "borrowed" scenery.
