Southwestern Front Yard
This is the view to the left as you enter the yard and garden. Everything about the landscape is curves.
The inside of the curve is where the lawn area is to be planted with hybrid fescue sod. While there was already a lawn there to begin with, it was an unhealthy mix of different lawn types. So we poisoned it and cut it out with a sod cutter to make room for the new. And of course, while we have bare ground, the new sprinkler system goes in.
On the outside of the curve is to be planting beds planted in with desert and xeric plants such as Ocotillo, red tip yucca, sage, stipa grass, and lavender.
