Landscaping With Palm Trees

Palm trees aren't generally fast growers. So a lot of the time, in order to get the right design effect, they're added to new landscaping projects as already mature trees. Of course, the cost is proportionate to the size of tree which is always an influential factor in what size of a palm tree gets planted.

Another reason that a client may want mature palms in their landscaping ideas is to get the vegetation up past the walls of the home so not to hide the front of the house. Palms, even when small, can be very wide and cover up other bedding plants as well as the front of the home. So in a lot of cases, as in this front yard design, the trees will need to be supported for several years until they make enough root to support themselves against strong winds and other weather elements.
