What really makes this dry riverbed stand out in this xeric design is not just the bright contrast in the rock. The different sizes and textures of the rock also add to the element that draws our attention to them. And all of these elements combined is what creates the definition of the river bed.
In this design idea, the plants are confined to one side of the riverbed as a back drop for the bed.
