Iowa Native Plant Society - For all those interested in the native plants of Iowa, whether you focus on small gardens or large landscapes, the Iowa Native Plant Society has something to offer you. Through a variety of events, programs, field trips, and other resources, this society aims to help people gain the knowledge they need to encourage the growth of native plants throughout the state.
Iowa Native Lands: Recommended Plants - This site has a number of plant lists to help you design your own xeriscaping, butterfly garden, or raingarden projects. The lists are sorted by soil moisture requirements, light requirements, genus, and common names. They are also broken down by the height of the plants as well as possible uses.
Ladage Photograpy: Iowa Wildflowers - Here, you'll find a large number of landscaping pictures showing the beauty of Iowa's native plants. The database of photos is broken into four categories: flowers the bloom in Spring, flowers that bloom in Summer, flowers that bloom in Autumn, and fungus.
Prime Focus-Iowa Wildflowers - On this website, you'll find a substantial collection of pictures showcasing the native plants of Iowa. You can browse the photo collection by the color of the wildflower blooms as well as those that feature fungi, fruits/berries, and native grasses.
