I have a passion for garden and landscaping books. Even if I never look at them or read them. I just like having them. You know...just in case I need some inspiration.

This past month I added three new design books to my collection and actually should have saved my money on two of them. I ordered them online and so didn't actually thumb through them first. The covers were real pretty. So I got 'em. (Isn't there a saying about something like that?) Anyway...

They came. I rushed through the box like it was a gift and I didn't know what was in there. Started looking through the plans. But then I noticed that they were all three pretty much the same book. The titles were different and the covers were different. But give or take, the larger book I got has everything that the smaller two have and the medium sized book has everything of the smaller one.

Of course, if I would have known, I would have only got the one of them. My Mistake. If I would have looked more closely at the pretty covers, I would have noticed that they were all three from the same publisher. I never gave it a second thought.

Anyway, just so you don't make the same mistake. The three books are:

- Easy Care Landscape Plans
41 Professional designs for do it yourselfers

- Landscape Plans
50+ Garden Designs To Transform Your Yard

- 225 Garden, Landscape, and Project Plans

Of course, 225 plans would be the one to get if you were in the market for a design plan book. It has all the same designs plus a lot of other stuff that you may or may not ever use such as deck, shed, arbor, and garage ideas.

How's that for a consumer report?
