Front Entry Evergreen Shrubs

A simple front yard entry idea with flowerless foundation planting beds. Evergreen shrubs work well in these areas as long as you keep them trimmed down below the windows. If you plan on planting shrubs or bushes, you may want to consider the amount of upkeep they take. They're not what you might consider as plants with the least amount of maintenance. Consider dwarf varieties if you would like something that doesn't need as much trimming.

The edging around the flower beds and evergreen shrubs is a pre fab scalloped block that you can get at your local home center. They're simple to use and usually aren't very expensive. In my opinion, they're not the best looking landscaping element. They do look pre fab. Again though, they're cheap, easy to use, and they come in several different colors to match the materials of your home.
