Whether we look at this as a formal garden idea or as an example of an herb garden, the design has some nice detailed characteristics and considerations. As simply a fancy herb garden, it may go a little beyond necessary maintenance means to separate individual herb patches. And as a formal garden, it is a creative and useful way to fill in the space.
